If you said "yes" even once, you should come to the Duncan Africa Guitar Showcase in the Foundation Room at the House of Blues, Hollywood!
This event is for the purpose of introducing the Duncan Africa line of guitars to Southern California. These are hand-made custom-quality guitars that are produced in Uganda, by a local company,... with local workers, that was inspired by one individual’s burden for social justice.
For one night only, you are invited into the exclusive and prestigious Foundation Room at the House of Blues in Hollywood for this very special event. There will be live entertainment specifically tailored to profile the beauty and sound of these wonderful instruments. In addition, on hand there will be several examples of these guitars from the factory in Uganda that you can actually handle and play. And, if you are interested in buying one, that opportunity will be available too!
This is NOT specifically a fund-raising event. This is intended to make you aware of a unique product that is rooted in the same passions that many of you have to make a difference in the lives of real individuals in real need. If you are inspired to buy and/or order a guitar to be made to your specifications—all the better!!!!!
The Foundation Room is a wonderful setting for this event. Located on the third floor of the House of Blues on the historic Sunset Strip, it is decorated like an Indian palace, with plush velvet couches, Indian tapestries and artifacts from historic palaces and temples. There are Persian carpets, antique Indian temple screens, and hand-crafted German mahogany furniture. There is a beautiful brass-top bar serving a variety of refreshments and food, and a 120-degree panoramic view of Los Angeles city lights. It is simply beautiful!
**You must RSVP no later than November 3rd to be placed on the guest list to gain access to the Foundation Room. Tell your friends too—everyone is welcome!!! The cost is a $1 minimum donation to the International House of Blues Foundation. There is valet parking at the House of Blues ($10 with validation).**
